Here's one for you, did you know that octopuses have three hearts?
That puts Kylie to shame with her 2.
And you know how our blood is red because of the iron in it? Well, octopus blood contains the copper-rich protein hemocyanin for transporting oxygen.
But unlike the Vulcans in Star Trek (who have a green coloured copper-based blood) the octopodes have blue coloured blood.
(Yep, copper compounds can be blue, think of copper sulphate.)
So, what have we learned there? One thing, people like trivia.
Here's another bit of trivia (or trivium as it is): Identical twins don't have the same fingerprints. (Good news for the CSI people.)
If you're into stuff like that, you can have a look at the trivia games on TriviaOnNet.com.
You can play against other people on there (which is another way of saying you get to beat people, and that's a good reason to play), and you can also win money (which is also a good reason to play).
Now that's what I like, a system were clever people can get money. If only everything else in life was like that. (He thinks of Britney, Paris Hilton and others and realises in real life clever people don't get the money.)
So the fact that I know that "rhythms" is the longest English word without the normal vowels, could earn me some dosh. Or knowing that in 1714, Gabriel Fahrenheit invented the first mercury thermometer could make you a winner.
Good, because my head as been filled with stuff for so long, it's about time it paid me some rent.
And don't worry, if you don't have a head filled with useless facts because you spend all day sat watching TV, there's an entertainment section where you'd probably kick my hat (that almost rhymes with the word I meant.)
